Today is my first day of being attached to Lonza Biologics Tuas Pte Ltd for internship.

I need to wake up extremely early in the morning, like 6am in order to go for work on time. And that's when my dad is fetching me to work. Just imagine that I had to go take train due to unforeseen circumstances. Imagine the time I have to wake up!!

After reaching there, we were told whether if we were posted to Lonza Biologics or Genentech. Luckily, Mango, Richang and I were posted to the same place, Lonza. In addition, there were 2 other students that we got to meet and know. Azhar and Esther, who are both from NYP.

There were so many forms we had to fill in, in order to give the company our personal particulars and all, so that they can prepare stuff that we need during our internship there. At the end, the 5 of us got separated as Richang and Azhar were posted to Quality Control(QC) department, Mango and I got posted to Quality Assurance(QA) department and Esther got posted to Safety, something something(SHE), I forgot the last part. Lol.

Our supervisor, brought us around to introduce ourselves to the staff there as we would be staying for like... 5 months. One of the staff actually had the same name and look very similar to Long-Sao. LOL! I was stunned for a moment there. Hahaha.

We were provided with some stuff. Stationary, Company Jacket, Staff Pass, Personal Desk, Computer, Our own staff Email. Yay!

We had GMP training today, in order to let us understand what is GMP, why is it needed, used for and so on. There are many things to follow, even a simple task of filling in a form. It's the first time I felt so nervous while filling a form. =O Apart from that, we read many many Standard Operating Procedures(SOPs). One of it even had like 67 pages!! Ahhhh. I actually wanted to do take some pictures, but due to confidentiality issues, I cannot. I did take a picture of the jacket and staff pass though. Mango will tag me on facebook. Hahaha. Blogger screwed up, I can't post it here. =/


It was a pretty cool first day for me, being able to see GMP come alive where I'll be in real-life situations. It would be different from school, but it's a awesome learning experience I hope! =D
